On the 28th and 29th of October 2021 members of the IPM Popillia consortium came together at the TUM campus in Freising, Germany, for the yearly General Assembly of the IPM Popillia project. The event provided the possibility to get insight and learn about the progess and developments made in the different interdisciplinary work packages of the project. The meeting´s sessions covered topics from administrative issues, innovative tools for the detection, monitoring and control of the Japanese beetle, concepts for the planned citizen science app,  potential damage costs of a Japanese beetle infestation and much more. Aside from the presentations, the two-day event also offered time for discussions between the partners and a Q&A session with the External Advisory Board of the project. The event was planned so that participants could attend both online and in person.

Mrs. Bär from the office management team of the PuR Chair was a great help with the meeting preparations.
Interesting presentations were given.
It was possible to participate in the event both in person and online.
